Zakynthos Classical Music Festival
The Zakynthos Classical Music Festival is an initiative by the Non-Profit Entity bémoΛ. The purpose of this initiative is:
-
To highlight, within an organized framework, musicians who are active in the field of classical music in Zakynthos,
-
To introduce as well those musicians who are active outside of Zakynthos.
-
It aims to give to young musicians of Zakynthos the opportunity to showcase their individuality
-
To invite and present to the music-loving audience of Zakynthos musicians of recognized merit.
For this reason, our ambition is for the Festival to be held every year, thus creating a new tradition, familiarising the people of Zakynthos with first-class classical music events.
Φεστιβάλ Κλασικής Μουσικής Ζακύνθου
Το Φεστιβάλ Κλασικής Μουσικής Ζακύνθου είναι μια πρωτοβουλία της Μ.Κ.Ε. bémoΛ.
Σκοπός αυτής της πρωτοβουλίας είναι:

Να αναδείξει σε ένα πιο οργανωμένο πλαίσιο τους Μουσικούς οι οποίοι δραστηριοποιούνται στη Ζάκυνθο στο χώρο της Κλασσικής Μουσικής,
-
αλλά και Ζακυνθινούς Μουσικούς οι οποίοι δραστηριοποιούνται εκτός Ζακύνθου.

Να δώσει βήμα σε νέους Ζακυνθινούς Μουσικούς να αναδείξουν την προσωπικότητά τους
-
Να προσκαλεί και να παρουσιάζει στο Ζακυνθινό Φιλόμουσο κοινό, Μουσικούς εγνωσμένης αξίας.
Φιλοδοξία μας είναι, το Φεστιβάλ να καθιερωθεί ως ετήσιος θεσμός ο οποίος θα προσφέρει ακροάσεις υψηλού επιπέδου.
Classical music festival
The existence of suitable venues in every place is without doubt a necessity. Culture develops around them and under their roof it moves on and progresses.
The multifunctional areas which we have completed in the historic building of the “Zakynthos” Club will contribute to the development of those events which can and should lead to improving the quality of life on the island of Zakynthos.
The newly established event of classical music concerts titled “Classical music festival” takes place every June, the month of music, at the “Zakynthos” Club’
with the participation of Zakynthian and non Zakynthian musicians. It is an attempt to enrich the musical scene of the island with classical hearings which are necessary for our music education.
We acknowledge that during these difficult times the “Zakynthos” Club has an important and challenging goal to achieve.
As descendants of the great Zakynthian composer Pavlos Karrer and many outstanding others that have established Zakynthos as the Island of Music we aim to upgrade the level of music education on our island as best we can.
To achieve this goal we invite the Zakynthians and the visitors to our island to support with their presence the “ Classical music festival “ of our Club, acknowledging in this way not only the past accomplishments in music but primarily strengthening the future of music οn our island.

ΦΕΣΤΙΒΑΛ ΚΛΑΣΙΚΗΣ ΜΟΥΣΙΚΗΣ
Η ιδέα των συναυλιών κλασσικής μουσικής με τον τίτλο «Φεστιβάλ Κλασικής Μουσικής», που θα πραγματοποιηθούν τον Ιούνιο, καθιερωμένο ως μήνα της μουσικής, στη Λέσχη ο Ζάκυνθος, με τη συμμετοχή Ζακυνθινών και μη Ζακυνθινών μουσικών, είναι μια προσπάθεια να εμπλουτιστεί το μουσικό «γίγνεσθαι» του νησιού με κλασσικά ακούσματα, που είναι απολύτως απαραίτητα για την μουσική μας παιδεία.
Γνωρίζουμε ότι στους δύσκολους καιρούς που διανύουμε η Λέσχη ο Ζάκυνθος έχει να επιτελέσει ένα σημαντικό και δύσκολο έργο. Λειτουργώντας σε μια εποχή που χαρακτηρίζεται από πνευματική και αισθητική ένδεια, πτώση ηθικών αξιών και θεοποίηση της ύλης θα προσπαθήσουμε να ενθαρρύνουμε την ανάπτυξη εκείνων των δραστηριοτήτων, που θα οδηγήσουν στην ποιοτική βελτίωση της ζωής του νησιού μας.
Η ύπαρξη ενός χώρου εκδηλώσεων σε κάθε τόπο, είναι μεγάλη και αναμφισβήτητη ανάγκη. Γύρω του αναπτύσσεται ο πολιτισμός, που κάτω από την σκέπη του, προχωρεί και
προοδεύει. Ως απόγονοι του μεγάλου Καρρέρ και τόσων άλλων εκπληκτικών μουσουργών θα κάνουμε ότι είναι δυνατόν ώστε η μουσική παιδεία στο νησί μας να μεταβεί σε μια άλλη ανώτερη διάσταση.
Ζητάμε ταπεινά την βοήθεια όλων των ζακυνθινών με τη συμμετοχή και την παρουσία τους και στα μουσικά δρώμενα της Λέσχης μας.
"ΛΕΣΧΗ Ο ΖΑΚΥΝΘΟΣ"
The” Zakynthos” Club is a non-profit cultural society that was established in 1839 in Zakynthos. It was a meeting place of mainly radicals, democrats, intellectuals and the cultured. One of its most prominent members was Alexandros Romas who gave it its ideals and political identity.
The establishment of the Zakynthos Club was, as Dinos Konomou had quoted, a milestone in the political history of the island.
From 1839 to 1953 the Club played an important role in the social and cultural life of the island. It was a much – frequented club by the people of that period, a venue organizing lectures, concerts, political campaigns, carnival feasts and even gambling.
The renowned composer Pavlos Karrer was one of the eminent Zakynthians who was a member of the Board of Trustees.
The original building of the Club was founded on 4th January 1861 at the historic square of St. Marcus, based on plans by the Zakynthian architect Filippos Hartas. However the building was totally destroyed, as was the whole town, by the terrible earthquake of 12th August 1953.
In 1985 the Club was re-established with the primary aim of constructing the building at the same position and with the same design as the unforgettable original. In 1994, having obtained the required building permit, the foundations were laid of the present building. The aim of the Club was not only to complete the building but other objectives were successfully pursued by the administrators, the members and supporting friends. These included the creation of a Museum of Popular Theatre, a Library of Zakynthian books, a Gallery with works by Zakynthian painters along with artistic events like the Zakynthian Festa and the Classical music festival, the Traditional Carnival Feast and organizing Conferences.
The aims of the Club’s Board is to present the local culture, promote social and intellectual life and the creation of a venue for exchanging ideas and experiences. The growing interest shown by our fellow citizens and the attendance of the Club’s activities underlines their increasing need to participate in the social and cultural life of our historic homeland.
Today with respect for tradition and in accordance to the needs of the present the Club’s goals are varied as it supports cultural, social, scientific, intellectual and political activities that take place on the island but also at a national and international level.

Η «Λέσχη ο Ζάκυνθος», το «Ρωμιάνικο Καζίνο» ή «Λέσχη των Φιλελευθέρων», ιδρύθηκε το 1839 στο νησί της Ζακύνθου φιλοδοξώντας να γίνει χώρος συγκέντρωσης,
κυρίως των Ριζοσπαστών, δημοκρατικής έκφρασης, διανόησης και πολιτισμού. Ένας από τους σημαντικότερους ηγέτες της Λέσχης, που της έδωσε τις αρχές και το πολιτικό της στίγμα ήταν ο Αλέξανδρος Ρώμας.
Σύμφωνα με το Ντίνο Κονόμο η ίδρυση της «Λέσχης ο
Ζάκυνθος» αποτέλεσε «Αληθινό σταθμό στην πολιτική ιστορία του Νησιού».
Από το 1839 ως το 1953 η Λέσχη ανέπτυξε σημαντική δραστηριότητα, διανθίζοντας την κοινωνική και πολιτιστική ζωή του νησιού. Αποτέλεσε πολυσύχναστο εντευκτήριο των
ανθρώπων τις εποχής, λογίων και απλών ανθρώπων με πνευματικές και κοινωνικές αναζητήσεις, χώρος που διοργανώνονταν διαλέξεις, συναυλίες, προεκλογικές
συγκεντρώσεις, αποκριάτικα γλέντια, αλλά και τυχερά παιχνίδια.
Ένας εκ των επιφανών Ζακυνθινών που διετέλεσε μέλος της Εφορίας του σωματείου, (όπως λεγόταν τότε το Δ.Σ.) ήταν ο μουσουργός Παύλος Καρρέρ ο οποίος το 1863 υπήρξε έφορος Σκευών της Λέσχης.
Αξιοσημείωτες ημερομηνίες είναι το 1859, όταν τα μέλη της Λέσχης αποφάσισαν να οικοδομήσουν ιδιόκτητο κτίριο στην ιστορική πλατεία του Αγίου Μάρκου και η 4η Ιανουαρίου 1861 όταν το κτίριο θεμελιώθηκε σε σχέδια του Ζακυνθινού αρχιτέκτονα Φίλιππου Χαρτά.
Ήταν το άλμα που συνέβαλε ώστε η Λέσχη να εδραιωθεί ως ένας αποφασιστικός παράγοντας στην κοινωνική, πολιτικο – οικονομική και πολιτιστική ζωή του τόπου.
Το 1953 το κτίριο ακολούθησε την ολοκληρωτική καταστροφή του νησιού. Από το 1956 αρχίζουν οι προσπάθειες για την ανοικοδόμηση του κτιρίου οι οποίες οδήγησαν στην Ανασύσταση του Σωματείου το 1985, στην έκδοση οικοδομικής άδειας και στην θεμελίωση του μεγάρου το 1994.
Το όραμα της αναδημιουργίας της Λέσχης ξεκίνησε από μια ομάδα δραστήριων ανθρώπων με ιδιαίτερη αγάπη για τον τόπο τους και ενδιαφέρον για την ποιοτική του
βελτίωση και στηρίχθηκε από το σύνολο της ζακυνθινής κοινωνίας.
Στηρίχθηκε δε στην πίστη ότι η Λέσχη μπορεί και πρέπει να αποτελέσει φορέα των αξιών και της ατμόσφαιρας της προσεισμικής, φινετσάτης και όμορφης Ζακύνθου, ώστε να
συνδέσει το παρελθόν με το παρόν και το μέλλον συμβάλλοντας στην κοινωνική και
πνευματική πρόοδο του τόπου.
Η μετασεισμική πορεία της Λέσχης επικεντρώθηκε μεν στην ολοκλήρωση του μεγάρου της Λέσχης αλλά οι στόχοι των ατόμων που τη διοικούν και τη στηρίζουν, των
μελών και των φίλων της, δεν έμειναν σε αυτό.
Οι πρωτοβουλίες που ελήφθησαν,
αφορούσαν την ίδρυση Μουσείου Λαϊκού Θεάτρου, την ίδρυση Βιβλιοθήκης Ζακυνθινών βιβλίων και Πινακοθήκης με έργα Ζακυνθινών Ζωγράφων, με στόχους την προβολή του
τοπικού πολιτισμού, την προαγωγή της κοινωνικής και πνευματικής ζωής, την ανταλλαγή ιδεών και εμπειριών.
Το αυξανόμενο ενδιαφέρον των πολιτών και η παρακολούθηση των δραστηριοτήτων της Λέσχης καταδεικνύει πόσο έντονη είναι η ανάγκη των ανθρώπων για
συμμετοχή στην κοινωνική και πολιτιστική ζωή, του ιστορικού μας τόπου.
Αυτού που γέννησε τον Σολωμό, τον Κάλβο, τον Ξενόπουλο τον Ρώμα, τον Καρρέρ και τόσους άλλους πνευματικούς ανθρώπους.
Σήμερα πλησιάζουμε στην ολοκλήρωση του κτιρίου με την παράδοση της αίθουσας του 2ου ορόφου και την ολοκλήρωση των υλικοτεχνικών υποδομών με σύγχρονα τεχνικά μέσα, που γίνεται πραγματικότητα μέσα από ευρωπαϊκό πρόγραμμα LEADER.
Το έργο αυτό καθιστά πλέον τις αίθουσες της Λέσχης απολύτως κατάλληλες να φιλοξενούν συναυλίες κλασικής μουσικής που τόσο έχει ανάγκη ο τόπος.

Katerina Topalidou was born in Athens and grew up in Samos, where she began her musical studies. She earned her Piano Diploma with highest honors in 2005, while also completing advanced studies in music theory (harmony,
counterpoint, and fugue) under G. Kampanas. From 2009 to 2013, she continued
her piano studies with A. Leimoni
She has participated in masterclasses and seminars with distinguished
musicians including E. Mouzala, D. Toufexis, G. Vakarelis, E Sarafianos, and S.
Thoma. She also attended the Poros Summer Academy in 2010.
Topalidou has been teaching piano and music theory since 2002. She is also
active as an accompanying pianist for diploma and degree examinations at the
Contemporary Conservatory of Attica and the National Conservatory of Peristeri.
In 2022, she joined the Eklipsis Vocal Ensemble as pianist
Since 2012, she has been a member of a piano trio (flute, cello, and piano),
performing regularly in concerts. In the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 seasons, she
appeared as a soloist in collaboration with director Fotini Ntapopoulou in the
music-theatre productions Chopin & Sand - Searching for the Blue Note and
Schumann & Brahms - The Meeting, presented at the Athens Concert Hall
(Megaron Mousikis Athinon), where she performed works by these major
composers.
Η Κατερίνα Τοπαλίδου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα και ξεκίνησε τα πρώτα μαθήματα μουσικής στη Σάμο όπου μεγάλωσε. Το 2005 πήρε το δίπλωμα πιάνου με βαθμό άριστα παμψηφεί. Παράλληλα σπούδασε ανώτερα θεωρητικά ( αρμονία, αντίστιξη, φούγκα τάξη Γ. Καμπάνα). Από το 2009 - 2013 παρακολούθησε μαθήματα ερμηνείας πιάνου με την Α. Λεϊμονή. Έχει λάβει μέρος σε σεμινάρια των Ε. Μουζάλα, Δ.Τουφεξή, Γ. Βακαρέλη, Ε. Σαραφιανό, Σ. Θωμά καθώς και στη θερινή Ακαδημία Πόρου το 2010. Διδάσκει πιάνο και θεωρητικά από το 2002 ως σήμερα.
Επίσης εργάζεται ως μόνιμη σύνοδος πιανίστα στις εξετάσεις πτυχίων και διπλωμάτων στο Σύγχρονο Ωδείο Αττικής όπως και στο Εθνικό Ωδείο Περιστερίου και το 2022 ξεκίνησε τη συνεργασία της ως πιανίστα του φωνητικού συνόλου Eklipsis Vocal Ensemble. Από το 2012 αποτελεί μέλος ενός πιάνο τρίο (φλάουτο, τσέλο και πιάνο) δίνοντας τακτικά συναυλίες. Τις σεζόν 2023 - 2024 και 2024 - 2025 συνεργάστηκε ως σολίστ με την σκηνοθέτη Φωτεινή Νταφοπούλου στις μουσικοθεατρικές παραστάσεις Chopin & Sand - Αναζητώντας την γαλάζια νότα, Schumann & Brahms - Η συνάντηση, που πραγματοποιήθηκαν στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών ερμηνεύοντας
στο πιάνο έργα των σπουδαίων συνθέτων.
Vera Stravopodi was born in Zakynthos where she took her first piano lessons. She got her first degree on piano (class of Mary Chalari – Contemporary Conservatory of Athens) in 2008 and her final diploma (class of Nelli Semitekolo – Municipal Conservatory of Kalamata) in 2013.
She is a graduate of the Department of Music Studies of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens (2008). She has participated in piano seminars at the 3rd Summer Piano Academy in Poros, and also with Ganev, Lilia Boyadjieva, Maria Efstratiadi, Domna Eunouxidou. She has been working as a music teacher in public education and as a piano teacher.
Η Βέρα Στραβοπόδη γεννήθηκε στη Ζάκυνθο όπου και ξεκίνησε μαθήματα πιάνου. Είναι κάτοχος πτυχίου πιάνου (τάξη Μαίρης Χάλαρη – Σύγχρονο Ωδείο Αθηνών 2008) και διπλώματος πιάνου (τάξη Νέλλης Σεμιτέκολο - Δημοτικό Ωδείο Καλαμάτας 2013).
Είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών του Εθνικού Καποδιστριακού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών (Αθήνα 2008). Έχει συμμετάσχει σε σεμινάρια πιάνου στην 3η Θερινή Ακαδημία Πιάνου στον Πόρο, καθώς και με τους Ganev, Lilia Boyadjieva, Μαρία Ευστρατιάδη, Δόμνα Ευνουχίδου. Έχει εργαστεί ως δασκάλα μουσικής στη δημόσια εκπαίδευση και ως καθηγήτρια πιάνου.
Vaghinak Galoyan was born on July 12, 1966, in Yerevan, Armenia.He is a professional cellist and double bass player too,with many years of international experience in orchestras, chamber ensembles, and teaching.
He began his musical education at the Mikhail Mirzoyan Music School in Yerevan, then continued his studies at the Romanos Melikian Musical College. After graduating, he entered the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan. From 1991 to 1993, he completed also postgraduate studies at the same State Conservatory.
Vaghinak Galoyan has had an extensive professional career as a cellist.From 1988 to 2002, he performed with the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra as the 2nd Principal Cellist. And also he got an invitation of coloboration with the Radio & TV State Simfony Orchestra of Armenia,where he served as the 1st Principal.He later worked with the Armenian State Chamber Orchestra.From 2003 to 2020, he lived and worked in Patras, Greece, where he served as the 2st Principal Cellist of the Hellas Orchestra of Patras. Between 2012 and 2019, he performed as part of the Zante Piano Duo. More recently, from 2020 to 2026, he performed with the Bryansk Symphony Orchestra.
In 1985, he became the winner of the National Music Contest of Armenia. Alongside his performing career, he has also been teaching cello since 1989. Over the years, he has participated in more than 100 CD recordings with orchestras and ensembles.
As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed in various formations, including piano duets,trios,string quartets,quintets and baroque ensembles. His concert career has taken him around the world, with performances in the United States, Canada, Great Britain, Australia, France, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Russia, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and many other countries.
Ο Βαγκινάκ Γκαλογιάν γεννήθηκε στις 12 Ιουλίου 1966 στο Γερεβάν της Αρμενίας. Είναι επαγγελματίας Τσελίστας αλλά και Κοντραμπασίστας με πολυετή διεθνή εμπειρία σε ορχήστρες, σύνολα μουσικής δωματίου και στη διδασκαλία.
Ξεκίνησε τις μουσικές του σπουδές στη Μουσική Σχολή «Mikhail Mirzoyan» στο Γερεβάν και συνέχισε στο Μουσικό Κολλέγιο «Romanos Melikian». Μετά την αποφοίτησή του, εισήχθη στο Κρατικό Ωδείο «Komitas» του Γερεβάν, όπου ολοκλήρωσε και τις μεταπτυχιακές του σπουδές κατά την περίοδο 1991-1993. Το 1985 κέρδισε τον Εθνικό Μουσικό Διαγωνισμό της Αρμενίας. Παράλληλα με την ερμηνευτική του πορεία, διδάσκει βιολοντσέλο από το 1989.

2003 – 2020: Έζησε και εργάστηκε στην Πάτρα, όπου κατείχε τη θέση του Β’ Κορυφαίου τσελίστα στην Ορχήστρα Πατρών (Hellas Orchestra of Patras).
Από το 2020 ζει στη Ρωσία στην πόλη Μπριάνσκ όπου συνεργάζεται με τη Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα του Μπριάνσκ.
Κατά τη διάρκεια των ετών, έχει συμμετάσχει σε περισσότερες από 100 ηχογραφήσεις CD με διάφορες ορχήστρες και μουσικά σύνολα.
Ως σολίστ και μουσικός δωματίου, έχει εμφανιστεί σε ποικίλα σχήματα, όπως ντουέτα με πιάνο, τρίο, κουαρτέτα εγχόρδων, κουιντέτα και σύνολα μπαρόκ μουσικής. Η συναυλιακή του δραστηριότητα εκτείνεται σε όλο τον κόσμο, με εμφανίσεις σε: ΗΠΑ, Καναδά, Μεγάλη Βρετανία, Αυστραλία, Γαλλία, Αυστρία, Ισπανία, Πορτογαλία, Γερμανία, Ολλανδία, Βέλγιο, Ρωσία, Γεωργία, Λετονία, Λιθουανία, Ηνωμένα Αραβικά Εμιράτα, Ιράν και πολλές άλλες χώρες.
Dionysis Semitekolos began his musical studies at the age of seven at the “Municipal Philharmonic of Zakynthos”, under the guidance of Kostas Samsarelos, who also introduced him to the piano. With the founding of the “Kalveios Music School” by composer Dimitris Lagios, he pursued systematic trainingin piano and music theory. Encouraged by Lagios, he continued his studies in Athens, focusing on advanced theoretical studies and piano performance.
He studied piano with the distinguished pianist and educator Mary Halari, earning his Piano Diploma under her mentorship. He was deeply influenced by pianist, educator, and philosopher Giorgos Hadjinikos, with whom he continued in-depth musical studies beyond his formal qualifications.
Upon returning to Zakynthos, he actively engaged in performing both as a soloist and in chamber music settings, with a strong emphasis on the classical repertoire. He also developed educational concert programmes aimed at preschool-aged children, integrating music with visual arts.
These initiatives led to an invitation from the Department of Music Education at the Ionian University, where he presented aspects of his creative work.
A significant part of his artistic activity has been devoted to the research, performance, and recording of piano works by 19th-century and contemporary composers from Zakynthos. In collaboration with the Department of Sound Engineering at the Ionian University, he recorded a selection of these works.
Together with the “Solomos and Eminent Zakynthians Museum”, he undertook the work of archiving the
manuscript compositions and compiled a new, expanded catalogue of works by composer Pavlos Carrer. He also presented and recorded the complete surviving piano works of this important figure in Greek music history.
In 2022, he founded “bémoΛ”, a Non-Profit Entity dedicated to the promotion and dissemination of classical music.
Since 1998, he has been teaching piano at the Music School of Zakynthos.
Ο Διονύσης Σεμιτέκολος ξεκίνησε να διδάσκεται μουσική σε ηλικία εφτά ετών στη Δημοτική Φιλαρμονική Ζακύνθου με Δάσκαλο τον Κώστα Σαμσαρέλο από τον οποίο πήρε και τα πρώτα μαθήματα πιάνου. Με την ίδρυση της Κάλβειου Μουσικής Σχολής από τον Δημήτρη Λάγιο, ξεκινά να διδάσκεται συστηματικά πιάνο και θεωρητικά. Με την προτροπή και την καθοδήγηση του Δημήτρη Λάγιου συνεχίζει τις σπουδές του στην Αθήνα στο πιάνο και στα ανώτερα θεωρητικά. Πιάνο διδάσκεται από την σπουδαία πιανίστρια και παιδαγωγό Μαίρη Χάλαρη με την οποία αποκτά Δίπλωμα.
Παράλληλα έρχεται σε επαφή με τον πιανίστα παιδαγωγό και φιλόσοφο Γιώργο Χατζηνίκο, από τον οποίον επηρεάζεται βαθύτατα και από τον οποίον διδάσκεται συστηματικά και πέρα από την απόκτηση του Διπλώματος.
Με την επιστροφή του στη Ζάκυνθο πέρα από κοντσέρτα και συναυλίες μουσικής δωματίου πάνω στο κλασικό ρεπερτόριο, ασχολείται με την προώθηση της μουσικής με στόχευση την προσχολική ηλικία, δημιουργώντας σειρά συναυλιών σε συνδυασμό με εικαστικές τέχνες. Για αυτές τις δράσεις καλέστηκε από το Παιδαγωγικό τμήμα της Μουσικής Ακαδημίας του Ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου και παρουσίασε μέρος της δημιουργίας του.
Μεγάλο μέρος της καλλιτεχνικής δημιουργίας του, έχει αφιερωθεί στην ανάδειξη και ηχογράφηση πιανιστικών έργων Ζακυνθίων Συνθετών του 19ου αιώνα αλλά και σύγχρονων.
Έχει συνεργαστεί με το (πρώην) ΤΕΙ ηχοληψίας του ιονίου Πανεπιστημίου για την ηχογράφηση μέρους αυτής της καταγραφής. Σε συνεργασία με το Μουσείο Σολωμού και επιφανών Ζακυνθίων αρχειοθέτησε τα χειρόγραφα έργα και συνέταξε νέο πλήρες και διευρυμένο κατάλογο των έργων του Παύλου Καρρέρ. Παράλληλα, παρουσίασε και ηχογράφησε το σύνολο των σωζόμενων πιανιστικών έργων του Μεγάλου Ζακύνθιου συνθέτη.
Το 2022 ίδρυσε τη μη κερδοσκοπική εταιρία bémoΛ με σκοπό την προβολή και διάδοση της λόγιας μουσικής.
Από το 1998 διδάσκει πιάνο στο Μουσικό Σχολείο Ζακύνθου.
Dana Giakoumelou was born in Athens in 1976 and studied piano and music theory at the National Conservatory from the age of 5. She received a Piano Diploma and Degree with Honors, as well as Degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint, and Fugue with Distinction.
She has attended the Master in Piano Performance, University of Indianapolis - Athens Campus, with professor Alla Chalapsi.
She has been teaching piano and music theory since 2001, is an accompanist, artistic director, and a member of the examination committee for diplomas.
She performs as a soloist, orchestra member, and choir member in concerts in Greece and Europe, while also being involved in musical theater and opera since 2011 (musical supervision, original music composition, orchestra conducting, music teaching, stage performance, assistant directing and conducting).
She is a graduate of the Department of Biology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, as well as the Department of Environment of Zakynthos at the Ionian University.
Η Ντάνα Γιακουμέλου γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1976 και σπούδασε πιάνο και θεωρητικά της μουσικής στο Εθνικό Ωδείο από την ηλικία των 5 ετών. Έλαβε Πτυχίο και Δίπλωμα Πιάνου με Βραβείο, καθώς και Πτυχία Αρμονίας, Αντίστιξης και Φούγκας με Άριστα.
Έχει παρακολουθήσει το Master in Piano Performance, University of Indianapolis - Athens Campus με καθηγήτρια την Άλλα Χαλάψη.
Διδάσκει πιάνο και θεωρητικά της μουσικής από το 2001, είναι accompagnatrice, καλλιτεχνική διευθύντρια και μέλος εξεταστικής επιτροπής πτυχίων.
Εμφανίζεται ως σολίστ, μέλος ορχήστρας και χορωδίας σε συναυλίες στην Ελλάδα και την Ευρώπη, ενώ παράλληλα ασχολείται με το μουσικό θέατρο και την όπερα από το 2011 (μουσική επιμέλεια, σύνθεση πρωτότυπης μουσικής, διεύθυνση ορχήστρας, μουσική διδασκαλία, ερμηνεία επί σκηνής, βοηθός σκηνοθεσίας και διεύθυνσης).

Dionysis Vervitsiotis was born in Athens, he began his violin studies at the Hellenic Conservatory and graduated with first prize and honours from Stelios Kafantaris’s class.
He then studied in Germany at the Freiburg Academy of Music with Prof. Rainer Kussmaul, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree, before continuing his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Detlef Hahn, graduating with a Postgraduate Diploma.
Since 1994, he has worked as a musician, performing in recitals and chamber music concerts and playing with ensembles and orchestras. He has collaborated with the Camerata, the KOA, the Greek National Opera, the Orchestra of Colors and the Th. Antonios Contemporary Music Ensemble. He has participated in classical and contemporary music festivals, including the Athens-Epidaurus Festival, the Nafplio Festival, the Patras Music May, the Aegina Festival, the Santorini Music Days and others.

Ο Διονύσης Βερβιτσιώτης γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα, όπου και έκανε τις πρώτες του σπουδές στο βιολί, στο Ελληνικό Ωδείο, απ’όπου και αποφοίτησε στην τάξη του Στέλιου Καφαντάρη με πρώτο βραβείο και διάκριση. Στη συνέχεια σπούδασε στην Γερμανία στην Μουσική Ακαδημία του Φράιμπουργκ δίπλα στον καθ. Rainer Kussmaul (Bachelor degree) και συνέχισε στο Λονδίνο όπου έκανε μεταπτυχιακές σπουδές στο Guildhall School of Music and Drama, στην τάξη του Detlef Hahn (Postgraduate Diploma).
Από το 1994 εργάζεται ως μουσικός, δίνοντας ρεσιτάλ, συναυλίες μουσικής δωματίου, συμμετέχοντας σε μουσικά σύνολα και ορχήστρες. Anni Totsiou after earning her piano diploma with honours for exceptional talent from the National Conservatory in Greece under Professor Tonis Georgiou, Anni Totsiou continued her studies in Vienna with Robert Walter, then in Sofia with Julia Ganeva and finally in London at the Royal College of Music with Irina Zaritskaya.
She has participated in international piano masterclasses led by L. Vlassenco, S. Gevers, T. Nicolayeva and A. Schiff, as well as chamber music masterclasses led by M. Rostropovich.
She also holds a Master's degree in chamber music from the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague under the supervision of violinist Vladimir Mendelssohn.
Since 1990, she has performed in recitals and chamber music concerts in Greece and internationally.
She has performed at major venues and festivals, including: Carnegie Hall (New York), the Schoenberg Hall (The Hague), the Burg House (London), the Athens Concert Hall, the Harrogate Festival (England), the Anneberg Festival (Denmark), the Swaledale Festival (England), the Borusan Festival Istanbul, the Athens-Epidaurus Festival, the Nafplio Festival and the Cyclades Festival.
Her interest in chamber music has led to collaborations with renowned artists including: Efdal Altun, Olgu Kizilay, Misha Bukov, Maxim Andrieski, Ali Basegmezler, Fabio di Casola and Vladimir Mendelssohn.
Her recording Russian Music for Two Pianos (Lyra), featuring works by Rachmaninoff, Shostakovich and Scriabin performed with pianist Lola Totsiou, received outstanding reviews in Greece and internationally (in Germany, Switzerland, Japan and China). Anni Totsiou has been actively involved in music education since 1996. She has taught piano and chamber music seminars, and is a professor of piano and sight-reading at the National Conservatory of Athens.

Thodoris Gougousoudis obtained the Guitar Degree (2008), and Guitar Soloist Diploma (2012), under the tutelage of Dr. Ioannis Andronoglou from the Municipal Conservatory of Giannitsa. He continued his studies in Advanced Theory at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki.
He is a graduate with distinction from the Department of Music Studies of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), specializing in Composition under the supervision of Professor Christos Samaras. He also holds a Master’s degree in Composition from the Mozarteum University Salzburg in Austria, where he studied with Professor Reinhard Febel. He is currently a PhD candidate in Composition at the Department of Music Studies of AUTH, under the supervision of Professor Ch. Samaras. He has been selected to participate in composition worshops in Greece and abroad. In April 2018, his work Dimensions IIIb for large orchestra was selected, following an international competition, for the “Ink Still Wet” composition workshop organized by the Grafenegg Festival in Austria. It was performed on August 21 under his own direction at the Festival Auditorium by the Tonkünstler Orchest Niederoestereich and was broadcast by the Austrian National Radio (ORF).He has received awards in composition competitions of the Greek Composers’ Union, an Excellence Award from the Rectorate Authorities of AUTH, as well as Third Prize at the International Harald Genzmer Composition Competition organized by the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, for his work Paradromes III, which was published by the German publishing house Edition Schott.
Furthermore, in 2021 he was awarded First Prize in the Operatic Vocal Composition Competition “1821, Greek War of Independence and Poetry Set to Music” with the work Heart of ’21, based on poetry by A. Sikelianos, in the category for voice and orchestra. The competition was co-organized by the Greek National Opera and the Greek Composers’ Union, and the work was presented on 23/09/2022 in a public concert at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center.
Ιn July 2017, the internationally renowned guitarist Eliot Fisk performed his arrangement of H. Villa-Lobos’ Concerto for Guitar and Small Orchestra at the 13th Boston GuitarFest, in the historic Jordan Hall in Boston, USA.
His works have been performed by ensembles such as: the Tonkünstler Orchester, the Orchestra of the Greek National Opera, the Thessaloniki Municipal Symphony Orchestra, the Athens Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Dance School of the Greek National Opera, the Hellenic Contemporary Music Ensemble, the Austrian Contemporary Music Ensemble, Interface Ensemble, Avanti! Chamber Orchestra, Mozik Neues Ensemble, Names Ensemble, among others, in Greece, Italy, Austria, Germany, Finland, and the USA.
Ο Θοδωρής Γκουγκουσούδης γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη το 1989 ξεκίνησε τις μουσικές σπουδές στο Δημοτικό Ωδείο Γιαννιτσών, όπου έλαβε το Πτυχίο Αρμονίας (2005), Πτυχίο Κιθάρας (2008) και το Δίπλωμα Κιθάρας (2012) με καθηγητή τον κ. Ι Ιωάννη Ανδρόνογλου. Συνέχισε τις σπουδές του στα Ανώτερα Θεωρητικά στο Κρατικό Ωδείο Θεσσαλονίκης.
Είναι αριστούχος απόφοιτος του τμήματος Μουσικών Σπουδών της Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών του Α.Π.Θ στην κατεύθυνση της Σύνθεσης με επιβλέποντα καθηγητή τον κ. Χρήστο Σαμαρά, ενώ είναι κάτοχος μεταπτυχιακού διπλώματος σύνθεσης από το Τμήμα Μουσικής και Δραματικών Τεχνών Mozarteum Salzburg της Αυστρίας με επιβλέποντα καθηγητή τον κ. Reinhard Febel. Είναι υποψήφιος Διδάκτωρ Σύνθεσης στο Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών Α.Π.Θ με επιβλέποντα καθηγητή τον κ. Χ. Σαμαρά.

Τον Απρίλιο του 2018, το έργο του ‘Dimensions IIIb’ για μεγάλη ορχήστρα επιλέχθηκε, κατόπιν διεθνούς διαγωνισμού, στο εργαστήρι σύνθεσης ‘Ink stil wet’ που προκήρυξε το Φεστιβάλ Grafenegg της Αυστρίας και παρουσιάστηκε στις 21 Αυγούστου, υπό τη διεύθυνση του ιδίου, στο Auditorium του Φεστιβάλ με την Συμφωνική Ορχήστρα ‘Tonkunstler’ και αναμεταδόθηκε από το Πρώτο Κανάλι του Αυστριακού Ραδιοφώνου.
Έχει αποσπάσει βραβεία σε διαγωνισμούς σύνθεσης της Ένωσης Ελλήνων Μουσουργών, Αριστείο Επίδοσης από τις Πρυτανικές Αρχές του Α.Π.Θ, καθώς και το Γ’ Βραβείο στο Διεθνή Διαγωνισμό Σύνθεσης Harald Genzmer, που διοργάνωσε το Πανεπιστήμιο Μουσικής και Παραστατικών Τεχνών του Μονάχου με το έργο ‘Παραδρομές ΙΙΙ’, το οποίο εκδόθηκε από τον γερμανικό εκδοτικό οίκο Edition Schott. Ακόμα, το 2021 απέσπασε το Α’ Βραβείο στο Διαγωνισμό Σύνθεσης Λυρικού Τραγουδιού “1821, ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΕΠΑΝΑΣΤΑΣΗ ΚΑΙ ΜΕΛΟΠΟΙΗΜΕΝΗ ΠΟΙΗΣΗ” με το έργο “Καρδιά του Εικοσιένα” σε ποίηση Α. Σικελιανού, στην κατηγορία φωνή και ορχήστρα που συνδιοργάνωσε η Εθνική Λυρική Σκηνή (ΕΛΣ) με την Ένωση Ελλήνων Μουσουργών και παρουσιάστηκε στις 23/09/22 σε δημόσια συναυλία στο Κέντρο Πολιτισμού Ίδρυμα Σταύρος Νιάρχος.
Τον Ιούλιο του 2017, ο διεθνούς φήμης κιθαριστής Eliot Fisk ερμήνευσε την διασκευή του ιδίου που έκανε στο κοντσέρτο για κιθάρα και μικρή ορχήστρα του H.V.Lobos, στα πλαίσια του 13ου Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Κιθάρας Βοστώνης στην ιστορική αίθουσα Jordan Hall, Βοστώνη, ΗΠΑ.

Sofia Mavrogeneidou was born in Brno, Czech Republic.
In 1985 she completed her postgraduate studies, obtaining a diploma in piano, flute, chamber music and continued at the Conservatoire de Paris and the Villecroze Academy with Christian Lardé.
She completed her specialization in baroque music and the traverso flute with Andrea Kroeper and Jana Semerádová at the Academy of Early Music at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic.
She is a graduate of Masaryk University's musicology - theory and history of art and culture - (Master, PhD)
In 2013 she obtained a Diploma in Monody with Irene Tsirakidou.
She is a founding member of the band “Apodrasi” (with which he has recorded 4 CDs), of “Duo Arioso” with Aristeidis Chatzistavrou on guitar (CD titled “Invisible borders”), of Duo Sonelli with harpsichordist Despina Chomatidou and with the German harpsichordist and dean of the Brno Academy of Music (JAMU) Barbara Willi performing baroque music and compositions by Sofia Mavrogenidou.
With pianist Ingrid Sotolářová they collaborate in concerts performing chamber music and works by Czech composers as Duo Insoma.
In recent years, she has been composing and performing her own songs.
She has published 6 books of music for piano, harpsichord and cello in “Ph.Nakas” publications and a Fantasy for piano dedicated to the holocaust of the cities of Lidice and Distomo in Czech publications “Sursum”.
She teaches flute, piano, singing and chamber music at the Athens Contemporary Conservatory off Art, which she is a founding member.
Η Σοφία Μαυρογενίδου γεννήθηκε στο Μπρνο της Τσεχίας.
Το 1985 ολοκλήρωσε τις μεταπτυχιακές της σπουδές, πήρε δίπλωμα πιάνου, φλάουτου, μουσικής δωματίου και συνέχισε στο Conservatoire de Paris και στην Ακαδημία της Villecroze κοντά στον Christian Lardé.

Αristeidis Chatzistavrou was born in Piraeus with Asia Minor heritage, Aristeidis Chatzistavrou embarked on a global musical journey fueled by the resonance of strings and the spirit of creation.
A graduate of the class of Iakovos Kolanian, he received his Diploma in Classical Guitar in 1991 with the highest honors. His artistic quest, however, extends far beyond the classical repertoire. As a versatile multi-instrumentalist, he has navigated the worlds of acoustic and electric guitar, improvisation, and traditional string instruments, blending diverse influences into a unique personal idiom.
His prolific career includes collaborations with symphony orchestras and chamber ensembles internationally. His compositional work spans from his solo album, INO, to acclaimed scores for theater and cinema, most notably for the feature-length 3D animation The Shadow of the Kalikantzaros.
With a recording legacy of over 100 albums, Aristeidis has left his mark as a performer, composer, and orchestrator, particularly through his work with ensembles such as Theros, Duo Arioso, and Omadiki Apodrasi. Dedicated to the next generation of musicians, he is a co-founder and faculty member of the Athens Contemporary Conservatory of Art.
Dionysis Boukouvalas was born in Athens in 1979 and grew up on the island of Zakynthos, from which he originates. He studied piano with Mary Halary (piano diploma with highest distinction and first prize) and music theory with Babis Kanas (degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint, and Fugue). He holds a degree from the Department of Music Studies of the University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Music from Paris 8 University.
He has given numerous solo recitals and has premiered many works. He has also participated extensively in chamber music concerts. The CD Works for Two Pianos (together with Dionysis Semitekolos) includes three of the most important Greek compositions of the repertoire, two of which were recorded for the first time.
He has been active in composition since the beginning of his musical studies. His works—among them a collaboration with leading American composer Steve Reich—have been performed in the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, and elsewhere. His piece Chemins fermés was performed at the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron) and received an award in the Workshops cycle.
He has also released two albums of solo piano improvisations (English Gardens, 2011; Aspects of Love, 2018), which have received praise from renowned musicians, including Norwegian pianist Ketil Bjørnstad.
As a music researcher, he has studied the music of Zakynthos, particularly the works of Alekos Xenos and Stefanos Karamalikis. His writings have been published in the prestigious journal Musicology as well as by the Benaki Museum.
Ο Διονύσης Μπουκουβάλας γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1979 και μεγάλωσε στη Ζάκυνθο, από όπου κατάγεται. Σπούδασε πιάνο με τη Μαίρη Χάλαρη (δίπλωμα πιάνου με άριστα παμψηφεί και πρώτο βραβείο) και θεωρητικά της μουσικής με τον Μπάμπη Κανά (πτυχία Αρμονίας, Αντίστιξης και Φούγκας). Πήρε πτυχίο από το Τμήμα Μουσικών Σπουδών του Πανεπιστημίου Αθήνων και μεταπτυχιακό στη μουσική από το πανεπιστήμιο Paris 8 στο Παρίσι. Έχει πραγματοποιήσει πλήθος ατομικών ρεσιτάλ και έχει ερμηνεύσει έργα σε πρώτη εκτέλεση. Έχει επίσης συμμετάσχει σε πολυάριθμες συναυλίες μουσικής δωματίου.
Το CD Έργα για δύο πιάνα (μαζί με το Διονύση Σεμιτέκολο), περιλαμβάνει τρία από τα σημαντικότερα σχετικά έργα της ελληνικής φιλολογίας, δύο από αυτά σε πρώτηδισκογράφηση. Ασχολείται με τη σύνθεση από την αρχή των μουσικών του σπουδών. Έχει γράψει πλήθος έργων (συμπεριλαμβανομένης μιας συνεργασίας με τον κορυφαίο Αμερικανό συνθέτη Steve Reich) που έχουν παιχτεί στις ΗΠΑ, τη Μεγάλη Βρετανία, τη Γαλλία, την Ιταλία κ.α. Το έργο του Chemins fermés παίχτηκε στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών και κέρδισε βραβείο στο διαγωνισμό «Workshops – Εργαστήρια νέωνΕλλήνων συνθετών».
Έχει επίσης κυκλοφορήσει δύο δίσκους με αυτοσχεδιασμούς για πιάνο σόλο (Αγγλικοί κήποι, 2011, Aspects of love, 2018). Έχει λάβει θερμές κριτικές απόκαταξιωμένους μουσικούς, όπως ο Νορβηγός Ketil Bjørnstad. Ως μουσικός ερευνητής έχει μελετήσει τη μουσική της Ζακύνθου, και ιδίως τα έργα του Αλέκου Ξένου και του Στέφανου Καραμαλίκη. Κείμενά του έχουν εκδοθεί στοέγκριτο περιοδικό Μουσικολογία και από το Μουσείο Μπενάκη.
